In conjunction with LCC Parks Dept. we have sown a wildflower area in the park. The ground was prepared and children from Southroyd school helped to sow the seed. Fingers crossed we will have a lovely swathe of colour in a couple of months.
Pudsey In Bloom is a community group formed in 2003. Our aim is to make Pudsey a more attractive place for residents and visitors and to encourage everyone to take pride in their environment. Along the way we would like to improve on the permanent planting and aim to be as environmentally friendly as possible. 2008 was our first entry in the Yorkshire In Bloom Competition and we won SILVER! If you have any questions you can leave us a comment on the blog or email us at pudseyinbloom@gmail.com

Yorkshire In Bloom Judging
Our Spring Judging for the YIB competition took place on Tuesday 5th April, here are a few pictures from before the date, all hands on deck, although a decent job seemed to have been done by `Locality` of LCC, and also thank to The Pudsey Litter Pick Party.
All seemed to go well, and we will be visited again in July for summer judging. The final results will not be known until September, we will keep you posted. Thank you to everyone who helped us along the way.

Having a catch-Up
So much has been going on recently since our annual `Tidy Tuesdays` recommenced. Here is a pictorial catch up, mostly work carried out in the library square, and many thanks to the Masons, lodge of Benevolence of Pudsey for their kind donation towards improving this area.
Oh, and once you visit it, if you are in a quandary as in which direction to go next then
take a look at our sign post, that will be sure to confuse you!

Will you be our friend?
Last year we picked up a few friends at the Pudsey Carnival who are as passionate about we are in making Pudsey look as good as it can. `Friends` are people who may not be available to help out with planting or do not especially want to attend meetings, but would still like to support our work, and they can do this by sponsoring us for as little as £5 per year.
We now have our first news letter and it outlines all the work we are involved in and keeps our friends up to date.
We would love to have more friends, so if you are interested in sponsoring us and would like to receive our newsletter, then please drop us an email or ask us when we are out and about in Pudsey, you will usually spot one of us on a Tuesday morning.
Thanks!
