SILVER - That makes 5!

At the Yorkshire In Bloom Award ceremony in York last week, Pudsey received their 5th Award since entering the competition, and once again it was a SILVER, again we were awarded Silver gilt in the summer but came out with silver overall. Well done once again to all the group and our sponsers and funders!

Summer Bedding at the ready!

Quite a few of us met today to continue planting up the barrier troughs, we have gone with the jubilee theme of red white and blue, Red geraniums,Blue lobelia and White alyssum. We have decided to get the council to replant the alpine troughs for us, as they really do not seem to be growing well and were beginning to look very untidy. This should inject a welcome burst of colour in the town centre.

Spring Tidy.

A few of the group met to tidy up the Lowtown Garden, grasses needed cutting back, a bit of weeding to be done and finally we mulched the beds with chipped bark.

Please vote for us!

Next time you visit Asda, please take a moment to vote for our `Olympic Project`. Asda have £200 to give away to the local community project winning most votes. I am sure all the projects featured on their community board are very deserving, but we would like to win!!
We would like to use the money to commemorate the year of the Olympics by creating a small Olympic garden, so come on....show your support and drop your tokens into the Pudsey In Bloom box!

It`s another SILVER!

Some of our members attended the Yorkshire In Bloom Award ceremony today at the Pavillions in Harrogate. We are pleased to announce that we have held onto our SILVER award, and have a fourth certificate to add to our growing collection. We were in fact awarded Silver Gilt for the summer judging round, but a silver for spring , this gave us an overall Silver.

Let`s all congratulate ourselves that once more all the hard work has paid off!
